I had a '08 Cadillac CTS, and now have a '13. Both leak water into the car after heavy rains. I have learned it is because the sunroof drain lines get clogged. Both my husband and I have had other cars of other makes with sunroofs and never had this problem. Is this endemic only to Cadillac's?

Sorry that you're having problems. We had a 2006 CTS and now have a 2011 CTS and a 2012 CTS-V and haven't had any issues and all three have sun/moon roofs. Our 2006 Mustang GT will leak at the cabin filter area if it's not kept clean.
This can happen with any vehicle that has a sunroof. The problem occurs when the vehicle is parked under a tree or somewhere that allows debris to enter around the roof and clog the drains. The solution is to locate the drains opening with the sunroof open, then you should locate the drain discharge, typically around the front of the front door opening. Then use compressed air to blow out the debris, using rotating finger pressure on discharge hose to allow the debris to exit. If that doesn't work, then you must take it to the dealer to have them remove the panels and clear the debris.
Unfortunately it is a weep hole drain that tends to clog, you need to get an air tool that can blow the drain clear
If the air doesn't work what I used on my 03 CTS was heavy weedeater line just pushed it through the holes got all the debris out no more wet interior.
