transmission problem
hello. I have an 88 chevy k1500 5.7l/350. after
allowing a friend to borrow my truck while on
vacation, the transmission went out. great friend
right? well at least he got me another used 700r4.
After installing the used tranny with all new seals,
filter, gaskets, and fluid everything seemed to be
just fine. shifted like a champ. well then one day
by bro-n-law was driving, pulling an empty 16 ft
trailer, the transmission gave out and was just
spitting fluid out up by the torque converter. it just
pours out. my question is, does anyone know
what the exact problem could be? is it possible
that torque converter seal wasn't set properly? it's
just funny how it did it only a week after the swap
and never showed any signs of going out or
messing up. any advice would be greatly
appreciated.
