Completely Stopping

Asked by Adam Apr 12, 2018 at 07:22 PM about the 2002 GMC Yukon Denali AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So This Is The Second Time Going To Work In My
2002 GMC Yukon Denali And It Completely
Shutting Off On Me.  I Would Be Driving And My Oil
Pressure Would Drop To 0 And The Car Would Shut
Off.  And When I Try To Start It,  It Just Cranks.  But
After About 30-50 Minutes Go By It Would Start.  I
Had Just Change The Oil Pressure Sensor And It's
Still Doing The Same.  Any Diagnosis?  Thanks In
Advance..

The oil pressure sensor with shut off the engine if pressure is below normal to avoid damage to the engine. Have you changed oil and filter recently? If the oil and filter are clean, then do a pressure test using a manual gauge for accuracy. It is possible that the oil pump is starting to fail.
