Will the window motors/regulators from a
97 grand Cherokee fit on a 97 Cherokee

No. The grand cherokee has scissor style regulator while your cherokee has slider style

Happen to have a grand kicking around? You could probably swap the doors, interior ect. I suspect structure wise they're probably identical and you Cherokee just may have the same wiring harness as the grand with alot of empty plugs kicking around for all the other options, please note I said suspect. A quick search under the dash should confirm/debunk that, I noticed alot of vehicles are like that (used to work in a scrapyard and just work on/customize alot) and my theory is that it's cheaper to mass produce only 1 wiring harness for all applicatable models. You could potentially upgrade alot fairly easily if you have a donor vehicle.....
