Left side mirror problem

Sounds like stripped gears,

Even my car fluidic i20 2012 model left side mirror does the same grinding sounds.. what could have gone wrong?

My car model and year of 2012 and model i20 it was same issue on left side mirror grinding sound. Not responding properly, it is electronic issue or electrical contact issue not sure. Continuously sounds coming wire disconnected, otherwise battery down. I think Hyundai will answer this question. Thanks

Friends,you all encountered the same type of problem,the side mirror got some grinding noise,this happens because the internal gear got damaged and motor got directed and giving continuous sound. As the hyundai itself manufactured the gears like that.i know this because i got the same problem and i repaired it myself and saved around 5500 rupees. No one is ready to repair those mirrors because those gears are not available separately and if any thing happens means one should replace entire mirror set and is waste of money. Friends i post you a pic regarding the gear,if anyone finds those gear means just replace those gear with a good car electrician who have some patience in handling those carefully. If you thought 5500 is not a matter means go for replacement. Hope this will be useful

Same issue.. since 2 days that sound is comming outa my left side mirror of i 20 asta.. I hoping it is not killing the battery

Uday bhai gave the perfect solution to this problem. I will also try to repair it. Fir the time being I removed my fuse to stop the battery drain.

How to off fuse for mirror?

Same problem in my both Orvm. Both make noise like humming and grinding sound and no moving. My service advisor at hyundai inform me that these are not repairable and need to be replaced. Costing 6k each, he suggests to get them manual by decoupling them to save battery. The bad thing is that indicators do not work after this alteration. I'm still seeing every single opportunity to get them recovered.
