Sputtering

My 96 Jeep is sputtering? What could cause it? I
have a new battery and oil change. It started
sputtering afterwards. And now the GEN light is
on? Should I get a tune up?

Probably should have the alternator output checked out.

Mines been sputtering and almost dying and I've changed spark pluges new battary and oil changed and filter changed aswell
