Find why engine shut off in drive and will not start

Does the engine turn over? is there a check engine light.? Is your battery dead? if so, you will need to get the car started and then you can test your alternator. can you hear the fuel pump cycle when you turn the key to the on position? whenever you post here, give as much info as you can so maybe we can help.

Turn over yes dies immediately fuel pump does come on

2012 Kia Optima... was "running hard" after start up. Started sputtering while I waited to make a right turn. Made the turn, and the car died while driving. Coasted to stop. Put into park, tried to start, but, it wouldnt catch. Tried 2 more times. Finally on the 3rd try, after tapping the gas during ignition, the motor caught. While driving, still sputtering. Drove it to work , where I was originally headed, where I turned the car off and on again... no sputtering or problems at this time

2013 Kia Optima while driving it shuts down but then it will start up and you can drive it again but then it would it shuts down again

My car stopped going while it was still on. Tried to accelerate and it wouldn't. Once it stopped I turned it off and tried to start it again and it will not start. Changed the started and battery and still nothing.
