tranny fluid in power steering

a friend made a mistake and put about a cup of tranny fluid in the power steering container. what to do ?

Don't sweat it. Ford was actually recommending ATF for use in power steering at one time. Don't know if they still do, the only real difference between the two is the use of red dye and detergents in the ATF. If you're really worried about suck it out with a turkey baster and put in PS fluid. No need for anything radical like flushing system.
That is correct I once did that myself and found out it has been done for years... Thanks for all the great answers... Still have not found out on for my GMC, body shop ready to take box off and get to the problem..
I put a shot or 80w90 in the power steering reservoir to quiet down a noisy pump. Figured I'd have to replace it anyway, but the 80w90 fixed it. Note: I am not recommending using the 80w90.
