is there a way I can bypass or run with out a MAF sensor on a 98 escort? im trying to take out the stock filter and put in a spectrum cone filter

You should be able to get an adapter plate so that the filter fits the maf sensor tubing. Let me see what I can find.

thanks but i found a way to rig it up to fit it i just simply wrapped the outside of the end of the sensor with a bunch of electrical tape and clamped the filter to it, seems to work but thank you.
