Trannys slipping 3rd

My tranny lines blew off, replaced
them and add 10 quarts of atf . Drove
25 miles then it would not go into 3rd
gear . Do I need a new tranny or can it
be something else ??

You may be overfilled or underfilled on ATF. You have to have tranny at a specific temperature, and cycle through gears, then check fluid level with engine running and gear selector in park, otherwise you'll get a false reading.
