I have a 2002 Mitsubishi eclipse I went to go start it and nothing happened tried to jump lights came on but clicked wen I tried to start but wouodnt plz help

I called a towing they think it's the battery Bc I just bought the car n the car was sitting a year before o bought it then they had to jump it before it would start

It will be one or the other,

When jumping, you need clean posts and clamps at your battery, water in the cells, and leave the donor car hooked up and revved up for a few minutes. You can also take your battery to be checked by a tech. After you get your car started you can drive straight to the battery charger and someone with the basic tools and a load tester. But a pocket knife used to get the crust off the post and the inside of the cable end has saved many a no start in my experience. Then you can go run all the tests you want with a tech. new cable ends are cheap
