I have a 2001 eclipse gt v6 it has a lifter noise it goes away when it warms up it has not had oil change in about 10k miles will oil change work should I use 5w30 and should I use seafoam

does seafoam work or should I do an engine flush?

well I wouldn't think you need to seafoam it for the ticking as its ticking because of the delayed oil change far as the oil weight just sue whats recommended 5W-30 full synthetic is what ive found to be recommended, why did you wait so long to change your oil already? get it changed already fore you end up with bad rings and spun bearings

just did it today oil was black and thick I first used seafoam and it didn't smoke much oil it runs better since I changed it
