Asked by Ritz Jan 15, 2014 at 04:00 PM about the 2002 Nissan Frontier 2 Dr XE King Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

One of the windshield wiper blades stopped moving (passenger side) but the motor
keeps working and blade freely moves but is not engaged with the motor. What needs to be done to fix this? I'm do not know how to remove wiper arm from the motor or what is supposed to keep it engaged with the motor. Please advise

Thanks Tom! The cap where the arm attaches to the arm easily pushed off with the aid of flathead screwdriver, revealing 12mm nut that was loose. Postioned wiper arm and tightened nut and slid cap back on and wiper now works! Simple and saved me a $50+ service call to dealer.
