So I have an 97 ranger. It's a five speed and the shifter went into fifth gear and got stuck. It acts like it's in neutral but I can make the shifter move at all. It has plenty of clutch fluid. I'm assuming I'm going to need to pull the transmission to see what's wrong. How hard will this be? And good recommendations on a manual to walk me through the transmission and if need be the replacement and rebuild of it?

Last time we had one get stuck in gear it needed a new clutch release bearing & slave cylinder assembly (not clutch master cylinder but may should test it too) and go ahead put in a new clutch pack & pressure plate & pilot bearing and bushing and get the clutch alignment tool. C
