My automatic won't start in drive.

I have to start on 1st and manually gear into 2nd
then drive. Once I get it in drive it stays. It seems
like once it warms up it's fine. I live in cold climate
and at high altitude.

    Car won't start and key light in upper left corner is on. Will start when connected to a jump box, bit dies as soon as we disconnect it. No lights work at all. Battery is reading fully charged.
