Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently went to Auto Zone and had them check why my check engine light, they told me some censor codes PO 731,732,733, and 745 were showing. Does anyone know what these codes are or what is the diagnosis for the codes.  Is this and electrical probelm?

Hi ahiyah! I couldn't find these diagnostic codes on the web so I am going to direct you to your local library where they'll have the Chilton's for your Maxima and there you will likely find the results for these codes. Actually your buddies at Auto Zone will have the manual in stock and you can probably sneak a peak. It's a good idea to have one of these anyway so you may want to lay out a few bucks just to have it around. Failing all of that you could drop a dime to your local Nissan service manager or bring him a cup of coffee some morning and he'll spill his guts for you. Good luck!

Hello ahiyah-- The three digit codes that you say AutoZone gave you regarding your 1995 Nissan Maxima are a little strange to me. Your car still has OBDI diagnostics, while cars built from January 1, 1996 and later came equipped with OBDII diagnostics. The codes for you car should be two digits, not three like in later models. Someone let me know if I am wrong on this (be gentle.) I would have thought that the folks at AutoZone would have translated these numbers for you. Auto parts people are usually more helpful than that. I would go back to them and tell them that you didn't get your money's worth. Good luck from Bovan.
