89 firebird with new battery and rebuilt alternator and starter and will not do anything no lights nothing need help I've already checked the fuses and the battery wires look decent
I'd say take a voltmeter and check the output of your alternator and you can do that with the car running and connect the red and black to the positive and ground of your car's battery while the car is running and you can see if the alternator is putting power back into the battery and additionally with the car off you can check what the power of the battery is with the voltmeter. I'm not quite sure how to test the starter with a voltmeter but I think you can do that it's a little bit more involved cuz you have to get under the car or you might be able to access it from the top and I think you would have to check it when it starts I'm not sure about that procedure or you might just want to go to Sears and have them do I think it's a $20 test and they check your whole entire charging system your alternator starter battery. But I guess you said it doesn't start at all you might want to call AAA and see if they can do that system check for you if you're not a member It might be worth just being a member for a few months to get the service.
