Is there a factory stereo Amp in a 2002 Pontiac suffice base model

I have searched everywhere in this car and can't
find one but when I hooked up my new radio it
turned on but never got any sound from the
speakers

I doubt a base model economy car has a separate amp. Double check your wiring and make sure the speakers are hooked up.
