My 2001 trans am had a delay before the starter would engage I shut it off last night and this morning the starter won't engage at all....is there a relay some where or would it be the starter or just the silonold please help

It's probably the starter. The solenoid is built in and would be replaced - good or bad. Try hitting the starter with a blunt object to free up the brushes. If that works, plan on replacing it soon.
