Where is the crank shaft position sensor on this 2.2 engine..i need help asap plz

Is there anyway they can be made more clear..can't tell if i will be able to get to it from the top or what..ty very much though

well if you've got the 2.2 liter...it's just above and to the left of the big OIL filter there~

looks like you'll have to get at it from the bottomside...think oil filter....think about five inches to the left and above and you got it~

Ok thanks..all i did was replace the coolant reservoir cuz the old one had a crack and couldn't keep water and the next day it wouldn't crank..replaced the spark plugs, wires, fuel filter fuel pump works..it turns but don't crank so idk

get a NEW battery and clean the 1/0awg cable from the black battery terminal to the place that it connects to on your chassis/fender ground...coarse wirebrush the lug and this place that it bolts to the 300 cold cranking amps that needs to get through...also the cable going to the motorblock (near the alternator)~

good chassis ground will make all systems behave themselves~

the new tin/antimony batteries only last five years....after that time begin destroying your alternator by asking it to charge a battery that ain't takin' a charge no more~so knowing batteries will refuse to accept a charge 10% per year it was time to get a new battery some time ago....dinkerin' around with sensors and so forth is inconsequential if you don't have SOLID ground there, reliably available to the ECU and ignition systems (fuel don't care about dirty power) but varying voltages and varying amperages will appear to be a failure condition and will make things NOT work properly~....so get a GOOD new battery such as Interstate (my pops the VP of Engineering there), Prestolite....even NAPA...what you're looking for is a good guarantee that will "pro-rate" the battery when you get a new one~

Is the position of the crank position sensor the same as the cam shaft? If not i need to know where the cranks shaft position sensor is located asap plz

okay the cam turns half the speed of the crank for a four-stroke design~

to be perfectly graphic..suck, squish, bang, blow the motions of a four stroke piston engine~you can see from the cartoon that the crankshaft is smaller (in fact HALF the size)....got it?

now a 2-stroke design just goes up and down, like the East German Trabant, the french Deux-Chaveux (2CV) all puffy with blue because you've got oil and gas at the combustion, rather than the "little guy with a clicky oil can" lubrication~

...like a chainsaw level of sophistication~

OKAY...okay there IS a camshaft sensor...and a darn sight easier to change than that darned ole crankshaft sensor~
