power windows wont go down

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
my power window will not go down on the driver side. It started messing up about a month ago, when you hit the down button it would go down about 2inches then stop. You wait for about ten minutes hit the button again and it would go down about another 2inches and so on. It would also do the samething when you tried to roll the window up. How do I fix this, is it the power window motor? or is there something else i should check??? PLEASE HELP!!!

It's worn out brushes in the motor. Check Autozone.com on how to replace the motor.
Yes, it is most likely the motor. The brushes on these small motors wear our frequently. You might check ebay for the replacement motor. Otherwise, they are available at your local dealership or an auto parts store can order one for you if they don't already have one in stock. Call around and see where you can get the best price. Google search "replace firebird window motor" or "remove firebird door panel" and look around. Somebody or a forum has most likely put up a how to manual on how to do this.

bad moter 100% much cheaper at a junk yard
you might have to replace the window regulator it come as a unit with the motor, they're very easy to change.
This is common thing in all f-body's I've had to replace both of mine already.
It's the motor. Can replace it by itself, no new regulator needed. http://shbox.com/page/windowmotor.html Great write-up. Yes, it says LT1 at the top but they shared doors, windows, etc., so use it! Same process.
