Fuel injectors

Can I use 24 lbs or 30 lb fuel injectors on a 1998
firebird transam LS1 v8 when it calls for 28 lb  
without changing anything

Good question it's a very technical question an engine builder can answer this one. I would think you would have to put the right amount of pounds PSI pressure for an injector to work properly and what the engines designed to handle" meaning what your fuel pump can push out" I don't think you could get away with putting a lower or higher psi injector in I'm not sure but I think you should stick with the one that's designed for your motor that calls out for?

I suspect you would need to have the ECU re-calibrated for the different injectors.

Hello there can anyone tell me if fuel injectors in the v6 3800 series engines are all the same?
