This is for a 96 and are the same steps for a 95...copy and paste....http://www.ford- trucks.com/forums/949499-1996-aerostar-4-0- head-gasket-replacement.html
it's most likely the head gasket, take off the oil fill cap and start it see if you see any steam coming out, look on the underside of the fill cap see if there is any mostiure,if yes than, for starters try a good block sealer run the engine while you pour it in radiator than see if it stops overheating that will answer your question.
Wait a sec ladies, those gaskets are being replaced everywhere by everyone wherever tose engines are found, there is an update, and a bulletin, with updated procedure. Ask Ford parts what set is currently fixing that and get real parts for your money. ask service department if you can read a bulletin or a recall from then. it's still readable even though the age is many years. there are also some other fleeting places coolant leaks occur, you can fix while its tore down. Just sayin, for best results, go to the right end of the horse.
