1996 firebird/after changing headlight motor does an adjustment need to be made before operating?

Typically not if you just disconnected the old motor and left the headlight bucket alone. If, however, you pulled the whole bucket out, you may need to adjust the position of the bucket and then fine tune the "aim'. If you are concerned with just the travel of the light when the motor runs, use the knob on top of the new motor and wind it up and down by hand (rotate the knob).
