firebird shakes violent

It shakes when accelerating . but when I back up it never shakes,no matter
how fast I back up, i can coast and sometimes it shakes a little.It shakes when
I let off the clutch fast or slow, I dont have to accelerate for it to shake, it has
been raining alot here so I dont know if it does this in the dry.It shakes
violently sometimes bad enough I had to stop.

That sounds like it's suspension to me like you have a bad tire or unbalanced tires even a wheel coming off your car you could have a lug nut that's loose on one of the wheels coming off . Get a front end suspension check out you may need like a tie rod or you know something could be wrong that way I would look into getting the front inspected before I go mechanical on the engine and drivetrain but I wouldn't drive it too much but it sounds like it could be a problem major.
