Sometimes no starting

This is most likely the security system acting up and locking out your starter. This site has some info. http://www.diy-gm-security.com/

Check your battery connections clean them then tighten etc.

I would bet it has something to do with your starter overheating. Next time the car is running and you turn it off feel your starter and see how hot it feels.
