Bottom line it's a throttle problem. Not fuel pressure, timing, or ignition issue. Suggestion is get some Throttle Body cleaner, and follow directions. That may fix her up. MAP is Manifold Absolute Pressure, and your ECU is getting conflicting signals from what the vacuum in intake is and what it should be for how much throttle you have applied at any given moment, no fault with MAF. If that cleaning doesn't help, next step is find specs and check TAC (Throttle Actuator Control) with multi-meter
Thank you Mark. Do you know of a web site where I can get TAC specs?
I'm David, aka FordNut. That's for marking helpful. No worries happens all the time. Anyhoo, I looked everywhere and the specs are available. Just not free. If you choose to do so, have your credit card ready and go to www.saturn.justanswer.com/Saturn-Vue ($22) or eBay for hard-copies of Saturn service manual. No pdf or e-books available. The guys at "Just answer" DO KNOW their stuff, and will not debit your card if you are not "100% satisfied with the service" OR call a dealer. They just might be courteous and helpful and tell you the specs. It's at their fingertips. Just a matter of if they will do it or not
Sorry about the confusion David. Thanks you saved me a ton of time.
