Performance- First off, it's gotta be a GT-S MANUAL TRANS. Second, The sound of variable valve lift is amazing. Rev that sucker all the way to redline! This car is supper fun. One of the best front wheel drive handling cars. Build quality- It's a Toyota Apparance- Great hot design... Except the rear is a little lazy Cost of ownership- Very good. Gets 32mpg hwy. Pretty good for a 180hp car. Fun factor- Very very fun car for the money

The first year this car was made 2000 the horsepower was underrated. Dealerships stated 180hp when in reality it was 190 because of the Japanese ECU. In 2001 a different ECU was used and bumped the horsepower down. - Overall, it was a great car and handled like a charm. - Modifying was cheap and relatively easy. - Gas mileage is great about 34/25 - Power is lacking but is easily upgradeable. PERFORMANCE: Acceleration for its class is great. Braking is good, especially with optional ABS. Handling is great especially with a little customization. BUILD: Build quality is average like any Japanese car. There were some rattles, interior trim. Replaced clutch at 50k and used synthetic oil. STYLING: This is a matter of opinion, but I thought the look and feel of the car was amazing and it will never look "old" like other models. Interior is great, especially the seats. COST: Gas mileage was great about 34/25 oil changes were about $100. FUN: Absolutely. This car is great to throw into a corner and feel it stick. Very light weight and agile. Engine screams starting at 6k rpm when Variable Valve Timing with LIFT kicks in. Also sounded great with my Borla exhaust.

Overall performance of this car in terms of braking and handling have been great but the acceleration is the biggest negative on this car to me. I have not had to do alot of major repairs in the 5 years that i have owned the car. The styling of the car is what originally drew me to this vechicle and why i still love it today. the gas milage is good and averges 25 to 30 a gallon. The car has been very fun to drive over the past 5 years i have done a lot of work to it with the body kit, rims, sound system and all the other smaller extras. I have been very happy with the car and would recomment it to anyone.

A really fun car with great heart. The interior was cheaply made and the plexiglass sunroof was not holding up well to weather. The paint was too soft and nicked from rocks too easily. The Engine in the little beast is amazing. 9000 RPMs is awsome. The transmission was great and the suspension was the best I've ever experienced in a FWD car. I would have kept it longer had it not gotten t-Boned by a Dodge 3500

Not as bad as people think. Newest VVTL-i engine Toyota to answer Honda's VTEC engine. Good handling with LSD installed. Maybe faster then Integra Type R (DC5) on winding roads under some conditions. Second hand price is solid, because it is currently the very last 4 seater coupe you can find for Toyota.
