Performance - 2.0 with 95 HP, "not to bad", considering...
Build Quality - Scranty gearbox, otherwise nothing!
Appearance - Nice interior, but love/hate exterior...
Cost of Ownership - All good! Only the rear brakes needed change in a period of 2
years!

Poor Acceleration, poor brakes, good handling, It need repairs just like any other car. The exterior is good at rear but at the front of the car is ugly. Interior is good. the mileage is about 220000 km . This car is fun to drive !Jan 28, 2011

I have grown attached to this car more and more due to the rarity of it on the roads, it has all the luxiry features of a BMW or Lexus or Mercedes, it is fun to drive, especially in sport mode, 3.0 liter V6 has plenty of power, and gets fairly good gas mileage, quality of material however is not the greatest, body however shows no signs of rust, not bad for a car living in a winter climate, and never being garage kept. hi if this since know made 10 years in my hand and is still in good condition i also have a landrover which is a heavy duty vehicle so you can judge how good must be the car :) :)

that is the luxury car and the first car in my life,performance is not bad, the cost is happy with me, the air cooler make me fell pleasant. I love it very much, i will chose sonata for the next car Jul 20, 2009

This was actually a great car. It was affordable when I just got out of college and had a low paying job, it was reliable, had a good stereo, never broke down and I got $2K back when I sold it to a private party. Jan 27, 2008

Began my appreciation for Hyundais. Made during the last years of Hyundai "poor quality" period, it gave me no problems whatsoever. I got it at about 180,000 kilometers, I think I sold it at around 250,000. I also thought it was a relatively attractive car as well - better than the Japanese cars the same age - and I think it's aged well. Has a bit of Jag to the design. Looks nice and fluid with bulging wheel wells. Underpowered though, and the auto transmission wasn't very bright at choosing gears. The car is a rarer, 4 cylinder version of the GLS - no leather or sunroof either.Jan 06, 2008
