car won't start

had a new key made by dealer and the key
fits but the car won't start. The dashboard
is reading starting disabled, remove key.

Did the originals have a chip in them? If so did dealer program it to work? I have a key with no chip to just open my car but it is not programmed to start my car. I need to use a programmed key to start it. Ask dealer if u don't know. Typically a programmed key will be $80. or more
