Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Have a 95 crown vic and when I put it in drive, sometimes it dont grab right away. I checked the fluid and it is full. Car only has 52000miles and is in excellent shape. Cant hardly believe tranny is going out already. Is there an adjustment somewhere that I can tighten the bands. Any ideas?

I would try a tranns. flush then a full service. Replacing the filter and putting in new fluid. Could some channels sticking inside.
