1995 ford explorer

Asked by Datdude Aug 10, 2018 at 06:10 PM about the 1995 Ford Explorer

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

there is a red wire that i noticed is hanging and probably needs to belong
somewhere... i thought it was my battery but bought brand new and it still dies...
the rpms go lower and just dies.... the red wire is long enough to extend to the
positive end of the battery, it is red... but very slim in comparison to the wires
that are connected to the battery...  it seems to extend all the way to the back of
the car, or possibly the gas tank.  can you identify this for me please? it looks
like an easy fix
