Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my wife will be driving around in the hot weather in iowa and the car will just die. without any warning or anything. she has to wait 30 seconds at the minimum before she can start it next. it didnt do this during winter and its only been doing it since the weather got hot out.  she took it to my work and they had it for 2 days and couldnt find anything wrong with it. even drivingit around with the diagnostic display screen on they coulndt find out what was the problem was. i have another car to drive for a summer car and will be using the car as a winter car. im just wondering wtf is wrong with the car, and possibly a way to fix it?

mine did that las summer, i would sit a stop light and go to take off and it would die. but it turned out to be my crankshaft position sensor.

test ignition module under the coil packs - lots of heat there - bad location for electronics
