Transmission

Asked by JulieannaCampbell Apr 22, 2016 at 08:23 PM about the 2002 Dodge RAM 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Drained transmission fluid from transmission and
torque converter. Refilled it. But got wrong info on
how much to refill with. Think we put too much
back into it. Ran fine for 20,30 miles then started to
feel like it was slipping.  Fluid was coming from the
dipstick.  Drained it all from transmission but not
torque converter. Slowly filled it back up while
putting it in and out of gear. Nothing.. kept up til
dipstick said full. But still won't do anything. Engine
just revs when you push the gas, but won't move

Did you change trans filter. ???? If so check to see if you need to use O rings on filter.. Might be sucking air and not fluid. You did use trans fluid.. Converter did not fill with fluid possible burned clutches up...
