1987 Nissan Pulsar

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, I am borrowing this car from my daughters
fiancé, indefinitely. It's been sitting for 6-8 months
being at least started every couple weeks. Before
that, his brother, put in a new after market stereo
system, removing fuses from the fuse box under the
dash on drivers side. This is what I've been told!
Since then none of the gauges work: speedometer,
gas, temp, turn signals, etc...I bought a box of
mixed size fuses so I would have the correct size,
picked up the lid and read the diagram; it is marked
as follows: TOP ROW: tail lamp 10a, cig light size
unreadable, heater/air 20a 20a, audio 10a,
wiper/washer 20a, fuel pump 10a, eng control 20a,
rad fan 20a, meter 10a
BOTTOM ROW: rr def 20a, head lamp lh 15a, head
lamp th 15a, empty space, hazard lamp 10a, horn
10a, stop lamp 20a, room lamp 10a, empty space,
cons fan 20a
Can someone tell me what could possibly be wrong
and what to do to fix it? I can't afford to take it to a
mechanic and the only reason I'm driving it is
because I don't own a vehicle at the moment and if
I can't get the gauges fixed I can't drive it. I can't
afford speeding tickets and I don't want to run out
of gas all the time! Lol. iIF anyone can help me it will
be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

First thing go through the entire fuse box replace any missing or Blown fuses . I service some vehicles Kids have wired directly into the fuse box or anywhere / everywhere else they cut and splice NIGHTMARE! Check fuses pull any STRAY wires stuck under a fuse you'll be able to tell the strange ones.
