Question type: Maintenance & Repair

pulling up code 0449 which i be leave is a emission canaister.problem is engine light is on and also blowing 15 amp fuse under hood

i dont know about the code or canaister but i dont think it would be blowing fuses,have you installed some type of option that required some wireing,if not take to dealer for a scan.

That code actually indicates a problem with the Evaporative Emissions solenoid control circuit, which is not necessarily the canister itself, but the purge valve/solenoid assembly that opens and closes to control flow of the evaporated fuel through the system. This would explain why it is blowing fuses. See this site: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t712892.html You will need to do further diagnosis before parts-hunting.
