2002 Ford explorer

Asked by Mcox29 Feb 16, 2016 at 04:01 AM about the 2002 Ford Explorer Limited 4WD

Question type: General

About 4 days ago I was backing out of my drive
and when I put my 2002 fors explorer into drive it
shut off. I got the jumper cables and got a jump it
cranked right up. That day the battery was no good
so I replaced it and had them check alternator it
was good. Tonight as I was going to work it did the
same thing got a jump cranked up fine but as I
went to go on break it acted like it didn't want to
crank what could this be?

If a new battery discharges while it is parked there is a parasitic drain (possibly) somewhere within the electrical system. A search of the net will give you a video of how to check for a drain with a multi-meter.
