2000 grand marquis

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car is sputtering really bad and the dome light will go off and on, randomly. (when not
running).  I was told it could be something with the computer.  Does anyone have any
idea if this sound right.

Patty, have the computer scanned for codes. with all that activity, there should be some kind of code stored in there. auto zone or oreilly will do it for free.

Than you. I'll have the computer scanned. I just had battery checked and it was loose, it still sputters. I'm not sure about the dome. I'll keep an eye on that to see if it's still turning off and on. Thank you again!!
