transmission?

Asked by Beaver Oct 02, 2014 at 03:40 AM about the 1994 Subaru Impreza 4 Dr L AWD Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My car gets real shaky when it shifts from fourth gear into the overdrive gear. It's
around the 45 to 55mph area. I was wondering if there is a way to by pass it from
shifting into the overdrive and just stays in fourth gear? Or if it may be something
else? I just change my filter and fluid as well and it continues to do the shaky thing
once it dips into overdrive. Thanks!

Check Engine Light. If it's on that tells you that there are TROUBLE CODES stored in the cars computer. Go to AutoZone or someplace like that and have them read the codes for free. Then you will know for sure what the problem is.
