Like most transverse mounted engines, the subframe has to be dropped. I put a PDF together showing the steps to remove the trans for your year/make/model. The real trick is doing this without a lift. The engine can be suspended across the shock mounts with a stout piece of lumber (4x4), although they do make a hoist just for this purpose you can rent. If you're doing this off of jack stands, you'll also need a floor jack to take the transmission down. It's a PITA to drop all the linkages and suspension, but it goes quicker than you might think. forgot to mention, that PDF is for: 1993 Submodel: LE, Engine Type: V6, Liters: 3.0, Fuel Delivery: FI, Fuel: GAS. If that isn't the engine type you need, let me know.
