Any new or replacement transmission should already have a new filter installed. Any other filters on the car, like engine oil, fuel, air, or interior cabin filters have nothing to do with the transmission (they should be replaced as part of their maintenance routine). If you have a shop replacing your transmission with a rebuilt one, then the filter is already done.
