My truck want go in reverse and drives in neutral

Set your parking brake and scotch the tires.go under the driver's side and disconnect the shifting linkage. Put the lever inside in park then go under and manually move the shift lever till it's in park too. Then reconnect. If it still gives you a problem follow the linkage to make sure nothing is worn out.
