My truck dies when I put it in any gear except park
and neutral but it will still drive if it gets a running
start from someone pushing it or rolling down a hill
but if u stop it dies again

Torque converter is locked up, replace...or do what I saw an old man doing once. Start in Neutral, rev up to 1500 RPMS and drop gear into drive to take off without stall. As you approach red light, shift gear to neutral so u don't stall when u stop. Replace Torque Converter.

I had a customers old Dodge truck that had this exact problem. Was hilarious chirping the rear tires to take off lol Don't do the Neutral to Drive shift @ 3k RPMs lmao
