If you did the job yourself, try to make sure that nothing came "disconnected" while you work on the transmission and that you put everything back the way it is. Did you add the correct amount of fluid that is required? I the job was done at a shop, take the car at once.

Everything was put back the way it came out(the only thing that could really happen I'd think is filter not sitting in correctly). Thats the only part you really have access to. But yes correct amount of fluid was put back in. I think I'll drain and put another new filter in to see if maybe I sturred up some sediment.

Yes, it is possible that the filter was not put in correctly. Check the one you put in, it is brand new, you should not need to spend money buying another one unless you see that it is bent or out of shape in any way. In any case, do not allow the transmission to work the way it is now, you will end up with more problems costing big $$.
