Asked by Abrahamperez Jun 23, 2016 at 12:57 AM about the 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 1LT Crew Cab RWD

I have a 07 Silverado 4.8 nnbs 1500 an today I turned on
the truck an put it in to gear an it shifted really hard.  I
drove down the street an the truck felt like shutting off. My
lights on my dash board all went to zero then my service
transmission light came on I parked the truck an turned it
off. Then I turned it on an my trucks Rpms reved high i
checked the fluids on the truck an the transmission oil
was a little low so I topped it off any suggestions???

Best have the trany looked at by a trany shop, possible bad torque converter, torque converter may be locked up, or internal solenoids in the trany may not be operating properly.

remember when you could drive a Chevy for decades with nothing breaking and stopping the truck? My suggestion: get rid of the 21st Century Wonder Truck and get something old, rebuilt and reliable-
