So i have a 2006 Dodge Charger SXT 3.5L V6
5 speed with 4 speed auto shift  and i was
wondering if you could put a strong engine in
it like the V8 or a different V6

Anything's possible, but you'll also be swapping exhaust/catalytic converters, wire harnesses, engine computer, etc. Depending on what state your in, you'll may also need to make it smog test compliant.

i’m in NJ. i just want some V8 so that it’s a little stronger but i don’t want to be spending a crazy amount of money on it

You could look at trading up to a V8 car, or bumping up your V6's HP with some speed parts.
