Question type: General

My 99 dodge Dakota shift normal to 2nd gear but
than it won't shift to 3rd unless u let of the gas
pedal than it shifts & once it worms up after driving
it for 5-10 min than it shifts nice & smooth.. It only
does it when it cold & only from 2nd to 3rd gear...
What could be the problem...? Please someone
help lol...

Kelly thank you for your respond I really appreciate it, I check the fluid and it has enough fluid in it but it does have a small leak around the transmissions oil pan it's wet... I'll try adding some good trans additive as you suggested and see what happens, thank you again for your help...
