Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Car dies sometimes while idling.  Also sometimes
when I've driven someplace and come back out, it
won't start.  Usually will start after 30 min to hour.
Three different mechanics have replaced fuel line,
fuel pump, timing belt, coil ? and cam sensor for
$709.  What do I do????

When problem is ongoing, make sure battery has a full charge and connections all good. If it cranks good but won't start, have a helper crank it while you check for spark at the plugs- -proper fuel pressure and fuel injector pulse. If your missing everything, I'd have to look for rpm signal. As far as idle,Check and clean anything that has to do with idle air system. Unplug the maf sensor, take it for a spin, see if it does better. If so, something going on with maf system. The mechanics could actually look at your vehicle, I can't see anything from here. Can you check to see if system is rich or lean, when problem is ongoing? If system is over-fueling, a hot restart can be a problem. In my opinion, there are a lot of possibilities.
