The Jeep Cherokee generation "XJ" ran from 1992-1998. That's where you will find your best parts match but it won't always be 100% as they made a few changes from year to year. If you swap out an engine, the concern becomes ECM (computer) compatibility. In that case, try to stay with the same 1998 model year.
I did a tune up on my jeep changed plug/wires started ran just fine then I changed cap and rotor now it wont start I'm getting power to my coil but no spark?
