2025 Chrysler Airflow: Price, Specs and Release Date

by Stephanie Wallcraft

Will there be a new Chrysler Airflow? More than a year after the brand’s Airflow Concept was shown at CES in 2022, rumours circulated online that it was dead. A few months later, Stellantis Chief Design Officer Ralph Gilles clarified that the concept isn’t dead, it’s just changing. What we do know is Stellantis plans to introduce an electric crossover under the Chrysler banner sometime in 2025. What we don’t know is whether it will resurrect the name Airflow or precisely what it will look like—though there are likely at least a few hints among the concept photos you see here.

Here’s everything we know so far about the 2025 Chrysler Airflow. Be sure to bookmark this page: we’ll update it as we receive more information.

2025 Chrysler Airflow in Canada: What we know so far

Chrysler has yet to release its first electric vehicle, which means the design team truly is working with a blank slate. We imagine this has something to do with why they’ve been sent back to the drawing board to capitalize on this chance to innovate.

The electric SUV crossover proportions of the 2022 Chrysler Airflow concept are hard to argue with, though, so we’d guess the overall dimensions are likely to remain similar. We also think the thin headlamps and illuminated surround on the Chrysler winged logo on the car’s grille lends a classy touch to the Airflow Concept’s front end that we’d like to see continue into the final version – as we would the full-length glass roof of the concept. That said, expect the new model to incorporate some styling elements from the Chrysler Pacifica/Voyager/Grand Caravan minivan range

Most of what we see inside the Airflow EV Concept is feasible for production, which we know because it bears many similarities to other newer Stellantis vehicles such as the Jeep Grand Cherokee. The multi-screen infotainment setup, including a separate screen for the front passenger, is a familiar one. However, this means it’s not especially innovative, which makes us wonder whether this is part of what the design team is working on updating.

it also remains to be seen whether the cyprus copper accents from the Airflow Graphite Concept (the second of the two Airflow concepts shown in 2022) make the cut for production.

Stellantis originally announced several interesting features with the Airflow Concept, though how many of them will make it into the revamped production version remains to be seen. One key feature Chrysler touted back in 2022 is STLA AutoDrive, which offers level 3 hands-free autonomous driving functionality. Rather than being strictly map-based like other similar systems, STLA AutoDrive’s driving capabilities will examine environmental factors such as road and weather conditions to permit hands-free operation when it’s safe to do so. Chrysler has also promised AI learning technology and over-the-air updates.

In terms of size, expect the forthcoming electric crossover suv to occupy roughly the same market segment as the Tesla Model Y and the Ford Mustang Mach-E. Specifics around trim levels, safety features and charger speeds for when you have to plug in are yet to be announced.

2025 Chrysler Airflow engines, motors and drive

Few technical details have been released about the 2025 Chrysler Airflow powertrain. On the concept, Chrysler was claiming a battery capable of driving more than 600 kilometres on a single charge, though it’s not clear how feasible that is for production. However, the dual-motor setup—the pair of 150KW (201 horsepower) electric motors, one on each axle to create electric all-wheel drive—seems entirely plausible. It’s unknown whether or not there will be an entry-level single-motor rear-wheel-drive version

2025 Chrysler Airflow price and release date

As of this writing, all we know for certain is Chrysler intends to release a battery electric vehicle for the 2025 model year, and it may or may not bear a resemblance to the Airflow Concept. Should the brand succeed in meeting these timelines, when it does hit showrooms we expect MSRP pricing will align with the thresholds for federal and provincial EV rebates in order to be competitive.
